I have noticed a lot of deaf people have been ignored. Why the people are having hard time communicating with the hard of hearing people who can read lips?
I don't have a hard time. I'm really good at reading lips. When I watch sports I can often make out what the team is saying in the dugout. I don't think they are being ingnored, I just think some people aren't very perceptive. Hearing people just assume that they can't communicate with the deaf because they don't know sign language or how to read lips. I've always been a firm beilever that Verbal language is so secondary to watching people and their body language. It doesn't matter what sound (words) come out of their mouth, it's what their body (eyes, hands, etc) say.
