ok both corners of my lips have cracked and im not sure why. maybe cause its cold and dry. i have some cream called fucidin that the doctor gave me to treat impetigo/bacterial infections but i don't think its bacteria yet it just cracked and looks almost like cold sores but it isn't...any fast way to get rid of this? What can you do when the skin on the corner of your lips crack?
Actually it sounds like Angular Cheilitis. It's simply cracked skin on the corners of your mouth and also sometimes (but not always) your lips.

It is bacterial however the prescriptions you get a lot of times are made to treat a different type of bacterial infection.

There are home remedies that cure this in the privacy of your home, I'm not sure the ratio but I know using a $3 mix of grocery ingredients you can cure this yourself.

You can check out the home remedy site below and see if your symptoms match the photos/descriptions and decide for yourself.

Good Luck! What can you do when the skin on the corner of your lips crack?
It's probably just like chapped lips, from the air being dry and your skin or lips not being moist enough. Just keep the area moist - put ChapStick on your lips and a moisturizer on the skin, or if its really bad even Vaseline works to keep it moist.
sounds like vit B1 deficiency. You should take Vit B complex or vit B rich foods like (brown rice, brown bread, some beans,....). Application of some lotions can relieve dryness for short term only.
Aquaphor works great!
