How can i make my lips soft?

I've tried using Vaseline but after it runs out my lips seem almost to get even more dry and chapped and peeling. what can i use or do to keep them soft and smooth? How can i make my lips soft?
Drink more water, that can help you.How can i make my lips soft?
Carmex works really well. I usually get the one in the tub because the stick doesn't work well. Use it at night, and in the morning your lips will be really soft and smooth, but you can also use it throughout the day. If you dont like the smell of the original they have different scents such as strawberry and cherry. You can buy it at drugstores such as CVS and also Walmart, Target, etc. Good luck and have fun with soft lips ;]
Always carry lip-balm wherever you go. Keep a lip balm handy so that you don't have the urge to lick your lips.

Check the ingredients. If you can't pronounce more than three, don't buy it. Lip balms should be natural.

Shop around and try different types. You have a whole world of opportunity from Blistex, Soft Lips, and Burt's Bees to Clinique, MAC, Carmex and Murad.

Exfoilate the dead, dry skin on your lips every night by gently brushing them with a tooth brush and a dab of Vaseline. (Not the same toothbrush as you use to brush your teeth)

Your lips should not feel sore afterwards. This should be a fun beauty ritual, not torture.

Apply a lip balm at bedtime.

Wear lip products that have a SPF 15 or higher.
If you get a pinch of sugar and put it in the palm of your hand, then get one of your fingers wet, and mix the sugar with the wetness on your finger, so it makes the sugar soft and damp.

Then just rub it in onto your lips, it will make them soft, and taste good.

**Perfect for kissing.**
Oh my your might as well put crud oil on your lips if you use vaseline on them!!! Go to any drug store use a natural lip balm keep it in your pocket and apply as needed. You wont look all greasy, feel greasy, as vasoline sits on top of the skin.....it does not moisterize skin. Try a natural lip balm with say camomille in it Costs about 2- 3 dollars and lasts months!!!
I suggest you go to a drugstore like Walgreen's or CVS and buy a soft bristle tooth brush.

Wet your lips a little then put some Vaseline on them, then wet the toothbrush and gently brush your lips.

What first though,is take an ice cube and rub it on my lips,it brings out your natural lip color and softens them.

I hope this helps!

Oh and also you should get a lip balm called Soft Lips,it really helps soften lips.

AND DRINK WATER! KEEP HYDRATED!

=)
Chapstick brand lip balm always works great.

That, or Carmex.

Carmex smells weird though :/

Oh, and Dasani made one, and I borrowed it from my sister and it worked really well too. [:

But what would also help would be if you kept hydrated.

Drink a lot of water, and your lips should be soft [:
Ok. I have 2 solutions!!!!

1. i know this really good lip balm. its like 7-10 dollars. Kehls Lip balm number 1!!! it works really good and i love it!!! Get it in the bottle.

http://www.kiehls.com/_us/_en/face/lip-balm-1.htm

make sure you do it before you go to sleep and when you wake up!!

2. I read in inStyle that if you take a tooth brush and get a whole bunch of vasoline on it and massage your lips for 2 minutes,....well i think you should try the kiehls because the vasoline doesnt work for you...
you should use lip medex, it is available in all stores and its about $4. it comes in different colours, the best one is the blue one. Beware:when you apply it, it sort of burns a little but it doesn't hurt, it feels good. i just told you that just so that if you get it you dont return it lol.

softlips makes really good lipbalm , with lots of diffrent flavors too .

you can get it at any drug store , and walmart sells it too .

my lips are the same way in the winter , and its what i use .

my lips are soft and not chapped and arent peeling anymore :D
Mix 3 teaspoons of petroleum jelly and 1 teaspoon of honey and a dash of cinnamon. Store in a lip balm container and apply at night, wipe off after 30 minutes and your lips should feel smoother. :) Hope this helps you!
try using a warm wet washcloth and gently scrub your lips to remove dead skin.

i use A%26amp;D ointment on my lips, its kinda like vaseline but all natural (you can get it anywhere)

also, blistex natural herb lip balm works great :)
Drink more water, the Vaseline will restore moisture if they are chapped from being outside in the wind or whatnot, but if they are continually chapped then you are most likely a bit dehydrated.
Try some chap stick. It will make your lips softer and prevent them from peeling. After a windy day use lots of chap stick.
Exfoliate them with sugar, or you can use a slightly wet toothbrush :-)
Try the body shop lip scruff. It moisturizes your lips and peels off dry/dead skin.
burt's bees chap sticks work amazing
