This is what I do:

1) Apply foundation to my lips.

2) Apply chapstick

3) Apply lipgloss (preferably apply lipgloss with a lip brush so it lastes longer)How to make lip gloss last longer on your lips?
Lip gloss lock
they have new kinds out to stay on long.
Guerlain
i don't usually like lip gloss because i have sensitive lips but when i do put on a good lip gloss i put a little water on my lips to have a little moisture. Then I apply the lip gloss and over it I put petroleum.
May i suggest buy Superstay gloss by Maybelline New York...works great...kinda pricey but totally worth the money...it stays on for the longest time...wether u eat or drink...shine stays...i absolutely love it!! try it!! wont regret it...=D
Hate to break it to you, but those Cover Girl ads are just that - ads. The only way to keep it on your lips is:

A) Don't lick them (which is physically impossible) or

B) Reapply (the preferred method).

If you find a better way, please let me know.
Lipgloss is (despite the ads on tv) not something that lasts long. Reapplication is the best way to keep it on and even. If that method isn't preferred by you, try not to lick your lips as much.
Apply a lip liner on your entire lip and put the gloss over it, it will last twice as long.
